For Windows XP Setup

with inbuilt wireless network card

1. Enable DHCP on the wireless network card on your laptop.

Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Network and dial-up connections -> Wireless network connections.

Right click over ‘Wireless network connections’ and select ‘Properties’.

Highlight ‘Internet Protocol’ and select ‘Properties’.

Select ‘Obtain an IP address automatically’ and ‘Obtain DNS server address automatically’

And click ‘Ok’ twice.

Now the wireless internet connectivity is ready.

2. Local Area Network (Lan) Settings.

Open internet explorer, and select ‘Tools’ -> ‘internet options’ -> ‘Connections’ -> ‘Lan Settings’.

Uncheck all boxes in ‘Automatic Configuration’ and ‘Proxy Server’

Do not forget to select ‘Never Dial a Connection’ in ‘Dial-up and VPN Settings’.

Now open the internet explorer and start browsing the internet.
