Al Hamra Golden Tulip Dammam (previously Al Hamra Holiday Inn Dammam) has completed the second phase of a multimillion Saudi Riyals renovation program to guests’ rooms and suites. Renovation has started in August 2004 and completed as planned by end January 2005. All rooms have been transformed into classic modern accommodations, appealing to business and leisure travelers alike. The furnishing, décor and amenities are tasteful and stylish. The renovation took place floor by floor while the hotel’s operation is running smoothly and receiving guests without causing noise or disturbance
 
“This is the second phase of renovation which comes as part of the comprehensive plan to renovate the entire hotel rooms, facilities and outlets and upgrade it to remain up-to-date with the state-of-art” said Mohamed Dabbass, hotel general manager.
 
The renovation program has included replacement of the HAVC system, electro-mechanical works, installation of electronic locks, mobile signal repeaters, upgrade of satellite TV channels, new PABX system with voice mail and high speed Internet connection, changing all interior décor of rooms and suites, over 695,199 square-foots of high quality fire retardant carpets for the guest rooms and the corridors leading to the guest rooms and new decorative paintings of guest rooms.
 
To add extra comfort, special emphasis was given to the bedding by incorporating the latest pocketed springs mattresses, rich bedspreads with a fluffy white duvets, five choices of pillows from the “Pillow Menu” and fire retardant curtains with full black out in order for guests to have a good night sleep .A generously sized lounge chair with adjacent side table that allows ample space for room service in addition to a working desk with chair and reading lamb. 
 
The new colors , lighting and rich furnishing gave a warm & elegant look. In addition to relocation of the barbershop and introducing the new business centre with secretarial services.

The first phase of renovation took place earlier has included a total refurbishment of the Executive Floor were extra fringe benefits were added like tea/coffee maker with free bottle of water, trouser press, pillow menu, and high quality furniture.
